Chapter 36 : The Storm Begins (1)
In the end, Luo Weibing did not stay. It was not that he was afraid of his father. It was because the image of that man he saw in the cafe not too long ago had appeared in his mind as Zhao Youlin was speaking.
Although both of them had already divorced, he intuitively felt that the relationship between the two of them would not break off so cleanly. However, he would maintain his role as a good friend, and would not commit anything beyond the lines. It would be best to remain virtuous.
After sending Luo Weibing off, Zhao Youlin carried Joy and walked toward the elevator. Their new home was located on the twenty-first floor. It was neither too high nor too low. It was located right in the middle.
Zhao Youlin held Joy with one hand and dragged the luggage with the other hand. The moment she entered the elevator, only then did she realize that the structure of the condominium was unlike others where there would be at least three to four families on one floor. Instead, there was only one family on each floor. It was not hard to imagine how considerable its value was, given in such a high-end location with spaces of several hundred square meters on each floor.
Zhao Youlin looked forward to their new home. She unlocked the big door of the new house with the key given by the old butler before their departure.
The moment they stepped into the door, they were greeted by the strong smell of elegance. It looked much more solemn than Mu family’s villa. The only difference was that Mu family’s villa was more inclined to a European style and the main color of the rooms were mostly white. Meanwhile, the condominium was comparatively more modern. The main colors of the rooms were mostly black and white which added a touch of coolness amidst its elegance.
Zhao Youlin briefly took a glance at the place she would be settling down in. She discovered that in addition to the bedrooms, living hall, kitchen and washrooms that were readily available, there was a huge swimming pool and playing amenities.
Zhao Youlin pouted her lips. On one hand, she sighed at the comfortable and luxurious capitalist’s life. On the other hand, she lamented Mu Tingfeng’s generosity to his ex-wife. Of course, getting rid of her, even in his dreams was the main reason he had made such a big splurge.
No matter how it was, the issues of basic necessities had been settled tentatively. This had greatly resolved Zhao Youlin’s biggest problem ever since her rebirth.
Zhao Youlin was in a good mood. After she took Joy around their new home, she rolled up her sleeves to clean up the house.
The good thing was, although the condominium was not frequently tenanted, it was apparent that the housekeeper often came to clean up. Every corner of the house was spick and span and thus, this saved Zhao Youlin a lot of effort.
She lightly cleaned up a bedroom and an empty room. She would bring Joy out the next day to purchase some toys to fill up that room. After all, both the mother and son were considered multi-millionaires. They could afford some luxuries.
After completing the work, Zhao Youlin hugged Joy and took a peaceful nap. She had not been sleeping well for the past days in the Mu family.
The mother and son hugged each other and became an item. They fell into a deep slumber and became completely ignorant about the aftermath since leaving the Mu family. They had no idea about the uproar stirred up among the Mu family, as well as the upper-class society in regards to the divorce between Zhao Youlin and Mu Tingfeng.
A loud bang rang throughout the mansion of the Zhao family. Li Hongyu looked at the shattered pieces of the glass and drew a cold breath. She cautiously called out to the man not far away as she trembled in rage, “Shuncheng…”
That man whose back was facing her turned around abruptly. His eyes were rage-filled and bloodshot. Like a trapped beast that had been stabbed to death, he let out a low bellow, “How dare she take the liberty to divorce him?! How dare she…!”
