Let’s Get Dinner

Yao Tang smiled as she was listening to their complaints.

“That means that the quality of the college entrance exam is pretty good. Not only does it reflect what you’ve learned, but it has also emphasized your strengths. Perhaps, you’ll score well.”

Everyone quickly sobered down, feeling sorry for their friend.

“It’s a shame! You would’ve gotten a perfect score if you had taken the exam! Maybe then you’ll slap everyone who dared look down on you!”

“I don’t need their approval.” She shrugged. “I don’t waste my time on unnecessary people.”

Soon, Xi Yan had arrived at the classroom.

“I will now give out your scores! Please come forward once I’ve called out your name.”

As Xi Yan called them out, the students came one by one.

After she had distributed every single one, Xi Yan smiled. “Although Yao Tang wasn’t able to partake in the college entrance examination, we’ve still garnered our highest scorer. Lin Xin is at the top of our class. It wouldn’t be a problem to her to get into Qing University!” “Congratulations! Wow! That’s amazing!” Everyone bellowed their greetings.

Even Yao Tang clasped her hand on her friend’s shoulder. “Congratulations.”

“But what about Yao Tang, teacher? Can she still go attend a good university? Her grades were amazing, but…”

The class immediately fell silent. They all shared glances, unsure how to react.

Xi Yan, however, furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. “Don’t you know?” she questioned. “Yao Tang is already being recruited by all the major universities a month before the exam. She can go to any school she wants.”

“What? Really? How could she not say anything? Oh my gosh, she’s so humble!”

“Why didn’t you tell us anything? If we had known earlier, we would’ve stomped all those bashers under our feet!”

Yao Tang glanced around. While they were blaming her for not telling them in advance, they all seemed ecstatic about her achievements. A warm fuzzy feeling grew in her chest as a sheepish smile slipped into her lips.

“I’ve been so busy lately that I didn’t think it was a big deal,” she responded. “How about this? I’ll owe everyone here a favor! If you need my help, all you need is to ask. I’ll do my best for you.”

“Of course,” she added. “I won’t do anything illegal.” “Wow, to be able to get a favor from a goddess, it’s all worth it!”

Everyone was already so excited that she couldn’t help but smile.

It was nice to be back.

Lin Xin nudged her on the side. “You really are generous.”

Only a few of them knew how capable she was and how valuable her favor could be. It was worth tens of millions of yuan. They could only hope that the other students wouldn’t use it recklessly.

However, Yao Tang could only smile. Her classmates had always stood by her through thick or thin. It would be great to help them for once.

“The college entrance exam is over. Let’s go to dinner together.”

Everyone shouted in agreement.

“We still have plenty of class fees we can use up!”

When Xi Yan heard this, she smiled and added in, “You guys have made me so proud. How about you choose any restaurant you want? If you don’t have enough money in that storage of ours, then I’ll make up for the difference.”

Meng Yang frowned. “How can we allow you to pay for this? If it wasn’t for any of your help, I wouldn’t have been here today. I’ll treat everyone!”

Before Yao Tang had come to Class 12, he had never put his mind to studying. He felt that studying was useless, because no matter how good his grades were, he would become the heir to the Meng Family in the future.

But after spending so much time with Yao Tang, he realized that there was more to life than being an heir. If she was working hard despite all she had, why wasn’t he working hard as well?
