Chapter 97   Recovery in Three Days

The blood was as black as ink, dripping onto the floor. Was that really her blood?

About three minutes later, the color of the blood had finally reverted back to its usual reddish hue. Yao Tang placed a few more needles into her fingertips, and the bleeding soon went to a halt. She took a deep breath and lowered her head.

Her skin looked like fine jade in contrast to hers, reflecting the artificial light almost calculatingly.

Seeing that Qin Jing was in a daze, Yao Tangused this opportunity to pull out all the silver needles from her body.

She then grabbed a seemingly cheap container from the box and threw it next to her. “The ointment should be applied twice a day,” she ordered. “Your face will be cured within three days.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Yao Tang finally walked out of the room and left her alone.

At the gate of the Qin family, Qin Rui and Mrs. Qin stood side by side as they listened to what Yao Tanghad to say.

“She’d be able to heal within three days,” she explained casually as if they were simply talking about the weather.

“Thank you so much for your assistance!”

Knowing that the woman still hadn’t failed them yet, Qin Rui understood for a fact that his sister would really recover in three days. He bowed as a grateful smile slipped into his lips.

“You don’t have to thank me.” She shrugged.

She glanced at the new message that had popped on her screen. “I have something else that I need to get to,” she said quickly. “You don’t have to send me off. I can get going on my own.”

“But…” Mrs. Qin frowned.

Her daughter’s illness had lasted for around half a year, and even the best doctors couldn’t find the cause for it. Yet, Yao Tang had taken around less than an hour to figure out the cause and even promised that she’d be able to recover within three days! Was she really that capable?

Qin Rui frowned. If something had happened to Yao Tang, Cheng Yanwould have his head.

However, before he could even utter a word, Yao Tang tilted her head and waved her hand. “You know I’m capable of handling myself,” she stated. “Please, go back now. I’ll get going.”

She didn’t say another word as she left, without looking back.

“This child…”

Even Mrs. Qin could watch helplessly at the retreating girl.

“Yao Tang!”

Yao Tang hadn’t gone far when she heard a voice echo from the back.

Her lips twitched as she turned her head. She wasn’t the least bit surprised upon seeing such a familiar face. After all, she already had a feeling that someone was following her, which was why she had told the Qin family that she was to leave on her own.

It was none other than Yao Yuan.

“You’re back,” he exclaimed. “Why don’t you come home with me? It just so happens that all your relatives are back in town. You haven’t met them yet due to your…. disappearance, but now, we can all be together. What do you say?”

A kind smile slipped into the old man’s face as he faced Yao Tang, like a loving father.

Yao Tang scanned his expression, and her eyes glinted.

“Alright, let’s go!”

As soon as she said that, she turned around and walked in the direction of the Yao Mansion.

Yao Yuan couldn’t help but be surprised by her agreement. He certainly didn’t expect for her to back down so easily. Hell, he had even prepared a string of curses if she hadn’t agreed.

A part of him truly was afraid that she wouldn’t come.

Well, that didn’t matter now.

“Sister Yao Tang, you’re here!” As soon as Yao Ran saw a familiar face popping up in the living room, she immediately ran towards her. A gleeful smile appeared on her face as she regarded the visitor with a nod of her head.

Yao Tang, however, looked unbothered. Instead, she glanced around the living room.

There were a few people at the house who had greeted her entrance.

“You’re here.”

Old Master Yao smiled kindly. He was seated right at the front with his buttoned-up suit and frail hands.

Seated next to him were Yao Yuan’s two younger sisters and their husbands.

Everyone regarded Yao Tang with a grin and a wave.

In just a short hour, there were already so many people crowding the living room-all from different statures and mansions of their own. Despite this, Yao Tang simply went to the only empty single-seater sofa and sat down.

She took a deep breath, with everyone turning to look at her.

Yao Tang was beautiful, especially under the illuminating lights. She didn’t appear nervous, even if she was under so many gazes. Instead, she used this time to play with her phone, glancing at the messages from time to time.

When Yao Yuan saw her calm appearance, the displeasure in his heart faded a little. “Tangtang,” he started. “These are your grandparents, your aunts, and uncles. It’s been a long time since you’ve been gone, so it’s high time I officially introduce you to them.”

“Hm.” She only raised her head to glance at a few of them.

“Don’t just sit there, Tangtang. Why don’t you eat some fruit? Your mother had someone buy them all the way from Japan. These are practically the best fruits in the country!” Yao Yuan’s voice was gentle-far from the rough tone he’d usually use on her.
